Life gets in the way...
Great news, I soon will be updating this blog and start posting here again. As we all know life can get in the way and throw us off focus. A lot has happen since 2010, I have so much more knowledge to share then before, especially my Weight loss journey...I will still share some recipes that I've found useful over the years, but I want to dive deeper into why we do what we do. We all know what to do...Move more, eat less...Then why do we not do it? Its that thing between our ears...The mind is a very powerful thing and over the year I've learned some great ways to shift your mindset that can help with Weight loss.
Since my last post, I have become a WW Coach for in person workshops and a 24/7 Chat Coach. I'm a Certified Wellness coach, Certified fitness instructor. I now teach fitness classes at the YMCA, such as Spin, Dynamic Strength and stretch, as well as weight lifting classes. I have now been do this for over 12 yrs. I recently took a new position with the Y as the HEAL coordinator (Healthy Eating Active Lifestyles) I set up programs on health and nutrition at the Y for their members and I do wellness check ins with the staff.
All of this came about because I decided to take my health into my own hands and do something about it. I was a shy girl that never wanted to speak up. Since joining WW, it has given me my voice in life. I'm no longer that once shy girl, I'm the one that wants to share my knowledge and help others get to their personal goals in life. I've come a long way over the past 12yrs and I'm proud of the women I've become. I finally love me for who I am and not for what others want me to be or become. Life can throw you some curve balls along the way. We may not be able to control how they come at us, but we can control how we get out of the way.
